ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The Scientific Committee of the XIX International Seminar on Physical Education, Leisure and Health will accept submissions for presentation at the event until June 16, 2024.

Authors may submit their original work (Empirical research work, pedagogical work and experience reports; Research project proposals; Essays) in the form of an abstract, free of charge. Each participant may only submit two abstracts as first author.

After the submission process, the abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee and the results will be communicated to the authors by June 30, 2024.

If the number of authors of the paper is higher than 3, the registration and payment of at least 2 authors is required.

When submitting, you must indicate your preference for Oral Communication, Poster or Symposium, although the Organizing Committee may make a final decision based on the opinions of the Scientific Committee. After receiving the email confirming the acceptance of the abstract, you should check the personal area of the website to verify the type of final presentation.

All accepted abstracts will be published in the Seminar Book of Abstracts.

All authors will be invited to submit their full papers by July 28, 2024 for publication in a book.

The best full papers will be selected by a scientific committee for publication in indexed journals.

ABSTRACTS


Authors should submit their work in Portuguese, English or Spanish, with appropriate spelling and grammar. Abstracts should be up to 400 words (excluding bibliography), indicate 3 to 4 keywords and title, authors and affiliation. Formatting is done automatically by the submission platform.

Abstracts should include the following topics: Introduction; Objectives; Methodology/Description/Foundation; Results (if applicable) and Conclusion (if applicable).

The review is blind, no information about the authors will be revealed at the time of the review.

SYMPOSIUM


Symposia give all participants the opportunity to present research on a topic, as part of a coherent group of papers.

Symposium proposals must be submitted by the coordinator of the working group, via the platform, in the Panels area. The proposal consists of submitting an aggregate abstract of around 500 words, accompanied by 4 to 5 abstracts of papers, with a maximum of 500 words per abstract and 3 to 5 keywords.

When submitting the proposal, the coordinator must indicate the authors of the communications, in the MEMBERS field.

Each symposium should have between 4 and 5 15-minute papers and should include participants from at least two countries. The session will have a total duration of 90 minutes for the presentation of papers.

The Symposium will be moderated by the coordinator of the working group.

- For all types of presentation, a certificate will be provided with the names of the authors registered for the seminar;

- Oral Communications will last 15 minutes and 5 minutes for discussion;

- Two prizes will be awarded for the best Oral Communication, two for the best Poster Communication and one for best Symposium. The winners will be announced at the closing ceremony. In addition to the certificate, the winners will have the opportunity to register for the next edition of SIEFLAS free of charge.
